As part of its drive in qualitative French teaching, Jextoban Secondary School, Ogun State campus invited various schools to participate in their French Week program. The aim of the program is to help bridge the learning gaps and make learning French fun for students. According to the Principal Victor Aigbefoh, ” raising students to fit into the global society must take roots in their ability to effectively communicate beyond the basic mother tongue language”. Mrs Bakare the French Coordinator also shares her view, that parents must encourage their children and help them in embracing other languages. This will help them to be competitive on a global platform, and them integrate with different cultural environments as they grow older. A total of 185 students from various schools graced the occasion.
